Happy Kids Cafe DEnglish

The posting below brought quite some interest for both adults and kids... Nettle is offering an English session for pre teens and I am proposing a 3 session pilot for adults..

40 minutes on Tuesday Wednesday Thursday next week ( 11am Vienna, 12 midday Finland ) for kids followed by ten minutes for parents/educators to review and ReThink the next session, or next suite of sessions....
( for grown ups looking to also set up a 40 minute session at 10am Vienna time aiming to bring together non native English teachers with Native english trainers/teachers to explore contributing ideas to the Vienna School Board who have just asked for suggestions on best practice online teaching at this time of new opportunities.. )

after preparation discussions on Friday  there are some themes emerging...
1 how to co-create Happyland in Minecraft where each person in a small group of 12 gets to set up their country space to share local information with the others in a learning by doing session,
2. and to set up an art gallery in their space and show some local artists, - some of which could be shown on in a popup street art exhibition in Vienna... perhaps using shop windows or cafe windows of spaces that are shut at the moment becuase of the virus ...
3, and how to use the happiness toolkit for schools from action for happiness as a digital delivery in Wien to start with and then wider... perhaps propose to Stadtschulrat how it can be a lockdown learning tool of value...

please register here to get zoom link for Tuesday at 11am Austrian Time ( 12pm Finnish time)  ( privat event for CafeDEnglish so please join that group first, email me if a problem )

I live in Austria where people learn English, and also German. I am.interested to bring together Austrian learners of English and Migrant learners of German in a program called Cafe DEnglish. I see a possibility to promote real time chat in online tandem pairs through facebook chats during this time of social shutdown, and would be interested for some English teachers here to seed this and perhaps bring it to their own countrie/languages with me too
